Goldrush Rally 8 departed from Boston, Massachusetts on the 16th of May on an 8 day event with an ending location of Los Angeles, California. The rally is open to all makes and models, but competitors fit mostly in the luxury, sports, classic, exotic car bracket, meaning most are worth hundreds of thousands and sometimes even millions of dollars each. This makes the event especially interesting for car enthusiasts from all over the country.
The route is different every year, meaning the scenery is always changing. With upwards of 100 cars consisting of 2 Buggati Veyron’s, a Henessey Venom GT, and a Pagani Huyara this year’s rally appears to be the most exciting put on yet. Drivers cover about 500 miles a day over eight hours, and navigators are responsible for directions, communication with organizers and other vehicles, photos and, naturally, social network updates.
The most controversial car, a Lamborghini Aventador covered with a Donald Trump inspired wrap, is making its rally debut. It must have been interesting to see this car’s reception as it entered Washington DC. But there are also many other outstanding cars worthy a particular attention at this rally.
